American composer John Cage said, "There is no such thing as an empty space or an empty time. There is always something to see, something to hear. In fact, try as we may to make a silence, we cannot."
Cage's words ring out and form the halo of thought framing our journey together this semester.
During our time together, we will tune into the cacophony of sounds in our world, deconstruct them, and reproduce them in ways that I hope will not only enhance their existence, but enhance us as human beings.
